BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

When we agree a date, I will provide you with a booking form that includes the following information and terms and conditions;

Booking Form

The Wedding Ceremony/Celebration of (your name) and (partner name) at (your chosen venue) on (your chosen date) to be conducted by Celebrant Janine, an independent celebrant.

We, (“the Wedding Couple”) undertake to pay the Celebrant the sum of £(agreed fee) for the design, delivery and conduct of the ceremony detailed above in the manner and following the script agreed before the date of the ceremony.

A deposit of £(50%) is to be paid on acceptance of this contract. 

A payment of £(balance) is due two months before the ceremony date.  

Payment in full of £(agreed fee) is required if there is less than two months to the wedding date.

The fee shall include the following service:

  • Includes up to 1 1/2 hours of couples & individual meetings

  • Includes up to 2 hours writing of the bespoke ceremony

  • Includes up to 1 hour travelling on the day

  • Includes up to 1 hour of location prepping

  • Includes up to 2 hours for my set-up and ceremony

  • Commemorative copy of your service and wedding certificate

Additional costs will include additional visits to the location, client meetings, travel to the venue. This is charged as £50 per hour, and calculated in terms of “time”.

Payment for accomodation will be paid for by the couple, if it is required. This will be discussed and agreed beforehand.

All payments have a three day payment term from the date of the invoice and paid through bank transfer..

The Celebrant undertakes to make best endeavours to conduct the ceremony on the date and at the time stated above. If delayed by circumstances beyond their control (including, but not limited to, severe illness, a car accident, etc.) this will not constitute a breach of contract.

In such an event the Celebrant shall give notice to the Couple as soon as is practicable and they will make every effort to provide an alternative Celebrant to conduct the ceremony from the same script. Should an alternative Celebrant not be found, failure to appear shall give the Couple the right to annul the contract with all monies so far paid by them to the Celebrant being refundable to them.

The “Wedding Couple” shall be responsible for the insurance of their goods and property and for the insurance of any goods or property provided by the “Wedding Couple” for use by the Celebrant in the delivery of the ceremony. The Celebrant shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such goods.

Any claim by the “Wedding Couple” against the Celebrant in respect of this contract or services therein shall be limited to the value of this contract.

Any variations to these terms and conditions shall be agreed in writing by all parties.

A non refundable deposit will hold the wedding date agreed. Payment due within three working days of declared invoice date. 

Balance of Fee will be required two months before the date (insert date).  

I have a statutory right under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2013 to add interest and late payment compensation to the sum outstanding after the payment due date.

Terms and Conditions

1. The balance shall be paid in full two months before the wedding.

2. The fee shall include the celebrant’s attendance at a rehearsal before the ceremony at a mutually agreed time.

3. In the event of the wedding being cancelled the deposit will be retained by the celebrant but may be used against an alternative, later date.

4. The celebrant makes her best effort to conduct the ceremony on the date and at the time stated at the booking. If delayed by circumstances beyond her control (including but not limited to force majeour, severe illness, accident, etc), this will not constitute a breach of contract. In such an event, the celebrant shall give notice to the couple as soon as practicable and make every effort to provide an alternative celebrant to conduct the ceremony using the same script. Should an alternative celebrant not be found, failure to appear shall give the couple the right to annul the contract with all monies paid by to date by them to the celebrant being refundable to them.

5. The “wedding couple” shall be responsible for the insurance of their goods and property and for the insurance of any goods or property provided by the “wedding couple” for use by a celebrant. The celebrant shall not be liable for any loss or damage of such goods.

6. Any claim by the “wedding couple” against the celebrant in respect of this contract or services therein shall be limited to the value of this contract. All parties shall agree to any variations to these terms and conditions in writing.
